Hello friends!
So the past few weeks I have absolutely eaten like crap and a detox was much needed this week. Instead of sticking to a strict meal plan (I don’t do well with those), I came up with some guidelines to follow- but with no exact schedule. I plan on sticking to this for at least 5 days (through Friday) or through the weekend- depends on how I feel! So far I have done pretty good! I’m okay with a few (small) slips here and there, but really want to stick to it!
Or until these thighs are gone…
I have also been walking at least 2 miles a day and am starting to incorporate running with the stroller as well. And let me tell you walking with a stroller and especially running with one is no joke. 90 degree weather does not help :/ What does make it better is views like this…
Detox Details
Foods that I am eating:
Fruits
Vegetables
Greek yogurt
Almond Milk
Quinoa
Natural peanut butter (limited!)
Protein powder (added to smoothies)
Yesterday’s eats:
Breakfast: Smoothie (spinach, almond milk, 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder, 1/2 frozen banana, frozen peaches)
Lunch: Smoothie (spinach, almond milk, 1 frozen banana, 1/2 avocado, frozen mixed berries)
Dinner: Teriyaki Quinoa w/ frozen veggies
Snacks: Grapes, yogurt bowl w/ sliced banana and peanut butter
Teriyaki Quinoa with Frozen Veggies
- 1 C. cooked quinoa
- 1 C. frozen veggies (I also added some shredded carrots)
- 1 Tbs. teriyaki sauce
- Microwave your frozen veggies until cooked, toss with quinoa and teriyaki sauce.
Can’t get any simpler than that!
